This is an Isabella Lilac color. To get this color you have to have the genetic sequence of dd/bb
which is two dilution copies of chocolate and blue.
This is a rare an exotic color.
Despite the beauty of this color variation there are many dog breeders who are envious of this COLOR. The first thing they say is that rare colors like isabella lilac produces coat issues. This misconception has most likely come from the prevalence in some breeds of a condition known as Colour Dilution Alopecia (CDA). Colour Dilution Alopecia affects the coat texture and length only, and NOT ALL breeds or dilute dogs are affected. The majority of blues and Isabella's(lilac/tawny) are completely healthy. As long as you feed your Corso a healthy diet that helps them have a nice coat of fur they will be fine! Diets high in Fish Oil help with this. Our Lilac corsos have never had any skin issues. Also, IF a diluted color would make skin issues the other color dilution : blue (gray) or formentino would also be unacceptable by the Kennel club as it is the exact same dilution forming.!
Double dilution is also a standard color in other breeds such as the Weimaraner which is lilac as well.
